They designed and built their house about 12 years ago. He has lived in North Carolina since 1974, and received his MA in English Literature in 1981. He previously worked in the Business Office and edited Listen! Magazine at WUNC Radio for almost 10 years. He last traveled to China in 1997 and the three weeks he spent there seemed much too short. His current interests, in addition to Asia, Africa and the Middle East for obvious reasons, are: medieval literature, history and art; travel literature; and early music. On his bedside table are: Travels with Herodotus, Salonika, Signifying God, and This is your Brain on Music. On the CD player are: Anonymous 4, Sequentia, and Back Porch Music Vol. 10. |
